TEHRAN – Dutch Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs Martin Van den Berg has voiced regret over U.S. exit from the multilateral nuclear deal, saying the European Union is examining ways to cooperate with Iran after the U.S. move.

Van den Berg made the remarks on Saturday in a meeting with Iran’s chamber of commerce chief Gholam Hossein Shafei, who had visited the Netherlands at the invitation of the European country’s officials.

In the meeting, the two sides exchanged views about the current situation and prospect of the economic ties between the two countries, Tasnim reported.
